Poetry Prompt Weekly: The Diverging Paths of Beach & Cavern

This week's prompt begs you to create a narrative piece revolving around either the beach or a cavern.

It has been three weeks since the start of a great scavenger hunt. You and your partner have been eagerly following the clues, solving puzzles, and searching hard to find the reward: a behemoth sized trophy made of pure gold. It’ll change both of your lives forever.

However, there’s just one problem. According to the map you’ve been using, the two of you have found a diverging path. There’s a fifty-fifty chance the trophy is buried in sand, or hidden deep inside a cavern. You know where both locations are, but something in your gut is telling you to choose carefully.

But what happens if you’re wrong?

Wow, what a prompt huh? This one is based off last week’s poll, which was a tie between The Beach and The Caverns, so I decided to give you all a choice!

Now unfortunately, I’ve been dealing with a lot of stuff recently— some which I talked about in my subscriber chat. So, I do not have a poem at the ready this time, nor am I doing shoutouts this week. I’ll post my poem later though, and the shoutouts will return next time!
