Our Substack community is so lucky to have you! I'm so proud of you for this decision because it means that you are prioritizing not doing too much. You're one person! I would hate for you to get burned out or to a place where you just have to give up everything because it gets too harmful. I'm excited to see where BookStack goes and obviously enjoy collaborating on The Poe-tato Writing Collective.
You're an incredible human and this is progress and growth as a human.
Thank you so much for the kind words, Hazel. Of course, I would love to see as much of your work on here as humanly possible, but as someone who regularly pushes myself too hard, I understand and respect the decision here to reframe your priorities.
I think BookStack is an incredible initiative, alongside what you’ve been doing on the Poe-Tato Collective, so I think the spirit of Hazel Allen is alive and well on Substack, and ultimately that’s what’s most important.
I of course will be cheering you on as always, and anytime there’s some new work here on Hazel Allen Writes, I’ll be first in line to check it out.
Appreciate all that you do, and thank you again for this heartfelt and authentic update. 🙏
Thanks for being so understanding over this. I do think it was bound to happen eventually. You only have so much time and energy to budget towards things-- the more you take on, the more you have to set to the side to stay balanced.
As BookStack grows, I'll find new ways to keep that balance intact. And I think the Collective is evidence of my long-term plans. From the start, I had someone to work with to help keep things going. And with BookStack it may eventually be the same way-- me working with others to keep that experience from stagnating.
I appreciate you a lot Bradley, thanks again for your support! ❤️
I’m down for whatever you are up to I completely understand the juggling and bookstack needs love right now just don’t forget to take some down time in all these new adventures
