Poem: When They Cast Stones
A poem about something I'm sure is pretty obvious when you read it. Also, don't vote Trump or support Project 2025.
I don’t think there’s ever been an election as crucial and important as our current one— Something I feel like I’ve heard every election since the 2016 one. And we saw how that one turned out. It was a disaster, but I don’t think Trump was nearly as prepared for presidency as he is now. With the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 and Trump’s “Agenda 47” both out there and causing confusion. It’s easy to forget the two things are one and the same— just Trump’s attempt to distance himself from the former.
I recommend researching both of those projects, and sharing awareness about it whereever again. But also, make sure you vote in the election. I’m not happy about either election candidates, but unfortunately, Biden is the greatest alternative we have to a thrust into Authoriatarian rule. Anyway, here is the poem.
They cast the first stone– Not those worthy of throwing, But the ones who deserve It the most. The rock hits the poor, One-by-one it is thrown At each person. A rich man decides who Will go next, even if he carries Several crimes on his back. They weigh nothing to him– Just boulders he offloads onto Whoever is willing to accept Blame instead. One stone for the poor, Another for colored peoples, And a third for the LGBTQ. Then he fills his bucket With more rocks– his cronies Lifting it for him. Not resting until he knocks Every group down– until no One is on his side anymore. Not that anyone should’ve Been on his side, anyway.
