Poem: Time Cares Not
A poem about time and aging, and why you shouldn't let it get you down.

Time is an ever-moving entity who never waits for you to catch up to it. It doesn’t care if you fall behind, and it doesn’t care for what you think about it. The clock continues ticking, the seasons forever changing, and the world constantly shifting.
It can be easy to get stuck on old things, and to wish you were able to relive a memory— which is something universal to perhaps every adult.
I’m young, but I miss being in school and being a kid. Someone else might miss the time they spent with a loved one who’s passed away. Or another person may long for the days their body used to function with much more ease.
Time cares not for any of this, so why should we get caught up on it?
I’m not writing any of this to say you shouldn’t reflect, or think about the past whatsoever. What I am saying though is: We shouldn’t let time dictate what we do with our lives.
From a creative standpoint.
Because there’s so much we have to do with our everyday lives, it feels like we’re never getting the time to do what we want. But we have to try somehow, right? If we’re afforded the luxury of it, that is.
Anyway, that’s my tangent for this piece. Here’s that poem you’ve been waiting for:
Time Cares Not.
Time is too busy to care about what you do,
For all it wants from you is to age.So do what you need– let your fire burn.
For your purpose is to grow and change.Spread your wings and jump from your perch,
Because only you can hold yourself back. You can worry, and you may falter but,
There’s so much more to this lifeline than
Remaining stuck on what cannot change. You can focus, and you may dwindle,
But you’re the star of this book of yours–
So, give yourself this new start. For Time cares little of what you do,
So erase it from your list of concerns.Your tapestry is the life you design,
And nothing can take away from your form.
