Poem: Listen.
A poem about some stuff that happened this week, and hopefully one that encourages you to find your writing voice.
No commentary this time, but here’s the poem, let it be the muse which tells you how I’m feeling right now.
Listen, do you hear the people cheering you on? They encourage, pleading to read your story. Placing bets, believing in the art of your craft. Listen, do you hear them waiting, patiently Running in circles to know what happens next? They need your voice, they need your art. If you don’t try it, you won’t ever know the Impact creating this story will have on everyone– And you won’t fulfill your writing potential. If you don’t try it, you won’t see how this story Morphs from a sentence into fifteen-hundred words, Becoming something you feel attached to. Listen, give it a shot, and maybe you’ll find A gripping plot and characters worth crying for. Their stories are just begging to be told. Listen, once your pen touches the paper, This world you’ve created will become alive, Writhed with every ounce of your heart. These people around you– online or in real life– They need to see and read this side of you, And I think that you do, too.
Phenomenal piece, Hazel! Wonderfully captures the essence of why our art deserves to exist. A ballad, a bellowing war cry, a poem worthy of shouting from the mountain tops! I'll start with an enthusiastic restack!
You are the best thank you for the encouragement
