Blog Updates: BookStack and what it means for this publication.
Recently I've been working on my new publication BookStack, but what does that mean for Hazel Allen Writes?
Yesterday I announced I was working on a new publication called BookStack, but what exactly does that mean for this blog? I’ve already talked about what’s happening over there, however not everyone may be aware. So that is why I’m making this update post.
First off, What is BookStack?
BookStack is at its core an advertisement hub to help promote other writer’s books. Here you’ll be able to use our catalog of books and authors to discover your next read.
But BookStack is more than just a catalog. You’ll also find Author Spotlights, Book Reviews, Community updates, and more. Think of BookStack as a hub to help support and highlight our community.
Author Spotlights and Book Reviews?
Yup, both of these are being moved from this publication and over to the new one. This is essentially the biggest change that’s happening to Hazel Allen Writes. Everything else will remain the same.
However, as these Spotlights are being transitioned, I’ll be advertising them over here and in my subscriber chat. Since BookStack is a new publication, there isn’t a huge subscriber count get Spotlight exposure to.
Because of this, I’ll also be advertising BookStack over here too when new books get listed. I won’t be advertising the publication everyday, but more on a 1 - 2 times a week basis.
But you can learn more about the BookStack stuff, including getting listed, over at that publication’s about page.
So, Poetry and Short Stories Are Staying Over Here, Right?
Absolutely! As Hazel Allen Writes has always been more focused on my sense of creativity and writing— keeping those here will help distinguish this publication from the other one’s I work on.
So all of my poetry and short story content will be remaining here. This includes the Poetry Prompt Weekly’s that I post as well. None of this is changing.
I know a lot of this may be jarring, but I hope this new publication of mine will be something beneficial to the indie community. Ever since I started writing on SubStack I’ve been searching for ways to help other Authors grow. Initially it started with the Spotlights, and now I’m jumping into something even bigger.
And I hope to see you there as well. Thanks everyone for reading through this update post. Buh-bye for now!
